Educator Profile
My name is Celine Puglisi. I will be your educator. If you are considering a Nail Technician Training Course then you should have some information about your course instructor.
I would like to tell you a little about my experiences and qualifications as a nail technician and an educator.
If you decide to take a course elsewhere, the information I have provided on this site will provide invaluable assistance in helping you with the decision of choosing a nail training school.
I have been in the nail industry for over 15 years. I remember my first nail training course. Unfortunately I didn't do my research properly. I didn't know it at the time but I was heading for disaster!
I finished my course totally disappointed with what I had been taught. I had very little interaction with the instructor. After finishing my course, I could still not do a decent set of nails.
I did not realize at the time just how under trained I was. I was in a class of about 12 students and had little interaction with the educator. I struggled after the course and tried to set up my own business by renting space in a number of hair salons.
Because I had been inadequately trained , it reflected in the quality of my work and I was unable to build my client base.
I did not give up and started to research the topic of nail enhancements. Something I should have done before doing my course.
I did several more courses and finally discovered Creative Nail Design Products and attended Creative nail classes. Creative Nail Design are an internationally recognized company. The quality of my nails improved dramatically and I started building my client base. Because my work was now vastly superior, my client retention rates had vastly improved.
Since then i have completed additional courses to teach the "creative nail design" system and also the "Young Nails" design system.
Now i only teach the "Young Nails" system. This is the cutting edge in nail design technology enhancement.
I have owned and managed two nail salons in Brisbane for a period of 5 years.
During that time, I have interviewed and tested many nail technicians seeking employment with my nail salons. But i found it very difficult to find "good" nail technicians. As hard as that is to believe, good nail technicians are very rare.
Because I have employed and supervised many nail technicians when i owed and operated my salons. I know what makes a great nail technician and what employers look for when employing nail technicians.
I deliberately keep my classes small with a maximum of 4 students.
I understand first hand the challenges facing students training to be nail technicians. I will pass on all of the knowledge that I have accumulated over many years in the industry.
I had to struggle to get to where I am now. I know all of the problems facing new nail technicians. I can teach you how to avoid these problems and train you with the best techniques and products available.
The biggest challenge facing you right now is choosing the most appropriate course. I personally know just how difficult this can be!
Ask many questions and obtain as much information as possible on the course you are considering.
Making the wrong choice and not receiving appropriate training and support will cause a huge setback before you even start your career.
